It appears there is no stopping Sandra, Lesley and our team of trainers. In January, they began their first courses for the BBC in scenario based First Aid Training for staff who work on locations. It proved extremely popular both with the students and our trainers and we have the photos to prove it! We also started our paediatric course for professionals, which is spread over 12 hours (split into either whole days or ½ days subject to client need). The playgroup leaders enjoyed the interactive nature of the course and we are looking forward to the next course in February.
Our IFA First Aid for Sport (Level 1 coaching) Training is also continuing at locations throughout NI. We are also excited to be working again with Corporation Ireland although this time as a Trainer. We have previously had a very successful relationship with the Corporation assisting at their Maracycle from Belfast to Dublin. We are also delighted to have been appointed by the British Deaf Association to train their mentors in medical emergencies awareness.
We are aiming high for 2017 too with new clinical staff coming on board in the coming months and new courses being added to our portfolio.
Leigh Stirling, one of the core trainers sadly left for pastures new in January 2016. We hope he will remain with us in the capacity of a part time ACA / event Sierra 3, once he has settled into his new role. Leigh was not only a trainer but one of our key staff members for staff induction and an all-round ambassador for the company and he will be missed by all.
